Alex Campbell: Assistant Farm/Finance Manager, Long Vue Farms
"Look to those around you in the industry and take opportunities to network with them. Listen and observe as much as possible, and ask all the questions. If you’re interested in a career in agriculture, find mentors/potential employers that trust and believe in you even when you don’t believe in yourself. That is key and was pivotal for my career path."
Alex Campbell is the Assistant Manager of Farm and Finance at Long Vue Farms. Alex has had a passion for agriculture since high school when she joined her local FFA chapter while also working with her family's cattle herd and helping friends and family set tobacco each year. After her first true working experience at Long Vue, Alex grew to love production agriculture. She began working after school, on breaks, and during the summer.
Alex cites graduating from Murray State with a degree in agribusiness as one of her greatest achievements, and she's actively pursuing further professional development that will enhance her work. She sees agriculture from all across the United States by being part of a national peer advisory group, and she loves being a part of and learning from all the families involved.
Alex has been interning at Long Vue Farms since 2016 and has been full-time since 2019. She started off doing odds-and-ends office work and later transitioned into equipment operation. To this day, she's still doing both!
