Fairdale Farm LLC

Fairdale Farm in Owenton is owned by the Sparrow family. Richard Sparrow purchased his first Brown Swiss dairy calf in 1962 and eventually sold milk to a local Kraft Foods plant. The current farm was built in 2012 and is home to 35-40 registered Brown Swiss cows.

Showing their cattle is the Sparrow’s greatest passion. Fairdale is the home of the last 8 Grand Champions of the Kentucky State Fair. They have also owned the Supreme Champion of the North American International Livestock Exposition and intermediate champion at the World Dairy Expo.

Hazelfield Farm

Hazelfield Farm CSA is a sustainable, family farm specializing in naturally-grown vegetables, fruit, herbs, and grains. We are a husband and wife team, and we do all of the farming ourselves, with help from our young sons.

We operate a traditional CSA that includes naturally-grown vegetables, fruit, and herbs. We offer a 20-week summer CSA program and a 10-week fall program. Cincinnati shares are picked up at the Hyde Park farmer's market on Sundays. Frankfort shares are distributed at the Church of the Ascension parking lot. We also have home delivery options.
