They also raise egg layers, thornless blackberries, sweet corn, tomatoes, and fall produce like pumpkins. Their two sons are 10 and 5, and both show cattle and hogs. Owned by Ella Bowling and Lance Bowling.

Bush Farms Grass Fed Beef 

Bush Farms GFB is located in Brooksville, KY, and raises, you guessed it, grass-fed beef. They work hard to care for their animals and sell high-quality, nutritious meat to the local community. Selling directly to consumers allows farmers to form relationships with their customers, and they profit a lot more from their products when selling this way.

Dark Wood Farm

Run by Annie Woods, this Brooksville farm grows some of the most beautiful produce for local customers and restaurants. Heading into its 8th growing season, Dark Wood Farm has developed a wonderful name for itself in the northern Kentucky/Cincinnati region. They service over 11+ restaurants in the area and sell out of their CSA shares yearly. Annie Woods cares about providing a quality product to her customers. Annie takes great care of the land she grows on as well. The soil microbiome is maintained through composting and managing tillage. Cox Family Farms 

So many farms in Kentucky are family-owned, but few of them have been around as many generations as Cox Family Farms have been. They sell grass-fed beef to their community in Northern Kentucky and focus on providing high-quality meat at affordable prices while remaining conscious of environmental and ethical factors.
