This business is bringing agriculture to Eastern, KY. Former coal miners have turned an abandoned coal mine into a 60 acre HoneyCrisp apple orchard with 120,000 trees. The high-density farm approaches apple farming in a more vineyard-like style. After only four years, Apple Atcha production is in full swing. For phase 2 of the project, they hope to introduce more apple and fruit varieties, and are excited for the amount of jobs that will be created - an all around positive economic and environmental impact for Inez, KY.
