Groce Family Farm offers six species of pasture-raised meats to customers in the greater Louisville area. Their meats can be found in restaurants, grocery stores, and on the tables of CSA and farmers' market customers. Their CSA is year-round, with three sizes to fit every family's needs and budget. They offer home delivery in the Louisville, KY, area, and members can sign up for a six-month term or one month at a time. In their farmer-selected bundles, they are committed to giving you the best of what's coming off of our farm, in addition to receiving 20% more for your money than if you purchased at a farmers' market. They have just chicken options as well!

Falls City Farms
In Louisville, Kentucky lives the Miller family, owners of Falls City Farms. They focus on growing leafy green vegetables, but in a very unique way - hydroponically!
That means all of their plants are raised completely in water and not soil. The Millers are also working on a system of lighting for their plants which will simulate sunlight (red and blue LED lights) so they can completely control the “sun” exposure their lettuce is getting.
Lettuce from Falls City can be bought individually or as a “farm share,” which is like a subscription box you get in the mail.
This farm is dedicated to growing for their community, so every time you purchase a head of lettuce, a head is also donated to a local organization in need.
Chrysalis Farm
Also located in Louisville is Chrysalis Farm, a small 12-acre operation that has been running since 2011. Looking for something new as they neared retirement, the CF family decided to move and start growing their own vegetables.
The Chrysalis Farm website details the struggles of adapting to life as organic farmers, but it also relates how beautiful the land was and how much the family enjoyed having a closer connection to their food.
Since 2011, the farm has expanded to include chickens and bees. Chrysalis Farms sells its vegetables, eggs, and honey at a farmers market in Jefferson County.
Sunny Acres Farm
Sunny Acres is a Full-TIME family farm. They raise several types of livestock, crops, and produce. In the SPRING, you can always find Sammy, the Farm Manager, in the float house setting up trays to grow farm-fresh veggies and flowers. Early SUMMER brings planting and tending to crops. Our FALL brings FIELD TRIPS! Every fall, they teach thousands of students on the farm. Students get to meet them and their animals and check out the farm.
