In Gravel Switch, Kentucky, sits Rolling Fork Organic Farm, a pork and beef operation that focuses on raising grass-fed, organic meats.

The farm was certified in 2008 and sells its products from Louisville to Lexington through its Community Supported Agriculture program.

Captive Horizon Saddlebreds

When most people think about horses, they think of Kentucky.

So did the people at CH Saddlebreds!

Established in 2005, the farm moved to Kentucky in 2018. They turned their passion for Saddlebreds, a specialized breed of horse, into a business by helping others do the same.

Captive Horizon Saddlebreds helps other horse lovers breed, sell, and buy saddlebreds safely.

They also sell foals bred on the farm, which can cost as much as $20,000 when they are adults.

Creative Farms Goats

Donna Slack knew two things when she was little - she wanted to be a farmer, and she loved goats.

These two passions ended up driving her life when, in 2006, she moved to Kentucky to build Creative Farms Goats.

It started as a partnership between Donna and her best friend in 2007, but eventually, Donna was able to take over full ownership.

Now, Creative Farms Goats raises over 26 dozen Boer goats to provide high-quality, Kentucky Proud meat to restaurants and families from all over.
